Channel 11 News Interviews Partner Charles Pursley About New Falcons Stadium Land

The site where the new Falcons stadium will be built includes a small patch of gravel parking lot property. This piece of land is currently in negotiations to be bought for the new stadium—the state offered $1.2 million, and the appraised value is $12 million. If an agreement cannot be made, it is likely that the state will turn to eminent domain to acquire the property.

At issue in this article was the ability of Fulton County to change its mind and withdraw a condemnation lawsuit after the land was valued at $5.2 million, which was more than the county wanted to pay. Attorney Angela Robinson has been invited to become a member of ULI (Urban Land Institute) Atlanta’s Center for Leadership Class of 2014. Angela joins a select group of 32 individuals chosen as emerging leaders in the real estate and land use industries for the Class of 2014. Returning for its fifth year running, the ULI Center for Leadership is a nine-month program that focuses on the issues and leadership required to create a sustainable Atlanta region. Its mission is to cultivate leadership and life-strategy skills by teaching emerging leaders in the real estate and land use industries how the Atlanta region gets built.
