Angela D. Robinson specializes in representing private land owners and business operators of all sizes in eminent domain, condemnation and inverse condemnation proceedings brought by the Georgia Department of Transportation, as well as other condemning authorities at the state, county and local level. Her practice also involves zoning and other real estate related litigation. She is a founding team member of Pursley Friese Torgrimson.

Angela’s clients include large and small businesses, mixed use and shopping center owners and tenants, large and small corporations, real estate investment trusts, hotel operators and owners, c-store and gasoline station owners and tenants, restaurant franchisors and franchisees, as well as individual homeowners. In addition, Angela has experience representing local governments in eminent domain proceedings.

Previously, Angela worked alongside Christian Torgrimson and Charles Pursley, Jr. for four years as an associate with Pursley Lowery Meeks LLP. Prior to working with PLM, she represented the Georgia Department of Transportation and other condemning authorities for five years in eminent domain related proceedings

Angela earned her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law. While a law student, she was a member of the Moot Court Board and Federalist Society; and received the prestigious CALI Award for academic achievement in Corporations, Georgia Practice and Procedure, and Bankruptcy. She also was a finalist in the College of Law’s Appellate Advocacy Competition. Angela earned a Bachelor of Science in Management and a Certificate in Finance from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

A native of Georgia, she is a member of the State of Bar of Georgia’s Eminent Domain Section. She is also a member of the Lawyers Club of Atlanta.

  • Successfully negotiated $3.75 million settlement for a partial taking and damaging of a multi-tenant office complex in Fulton County, representing a 67% increase above the original offer.
  • Successfully negotiated $18.5 million settlement for a partial taking and damaging of an office property in DeKalb County, representing almost an 100% increase above the original offer.
  • Settled condemnation case involving a partial taking and damaging of a hotel in Rockdale County for nearly three times the original offer.
  • Successfully negotiated the partial taking and damaging of an apartment complex in Fulton County for nearly three times the original offer.
  • Settled condemnation case involving the partial taking and damaging of an industrial warehouse property in DeKalb County for 60% more than the original offer.
  • Settled a condemnation of a commercial shopping center for over twice the original offer.
  • Increased compensation by 221% in condemnation of vacant commercial property.
  • Assisted in securing a $900,000 settlement with the Georgia Department of Transportation for the partial taking of a hotel property. The settlement was a 414% increase over the amount that the Georgia Department of Transportation originally offered.
